What to expect at your cosmetic brow semi-permanent tattooing appointment.....

First we will have a free thorough consultation where we will chat about your brow goals, and if you have any pictures, this will be the time to share them and we will talk about what is achievable based on your skin type. It is ideal for you to come with your makeup on to get a good idea of what you are used to seeing in the mirror.

We will determine your skins undertone and original brow color to determine the best color pigment to use. We will also consider your skin type (dry, oily, normal or combination skin), the shape your brows are in as well as your preference in order to decide on what service will suit your needs best, whether that be just microblading or powder brows or a combination of the two to create an ombre brow look.

Then, we will talk a little bit about your medical history (just to be on the safe side) and go over important points together that are on the procedure release waiver form that you will sign when you are ready to proceed.

The next step is to take some before pictures (these help my profile). I will have you lie down on my med table and I will wipe your brow area clean with rubbing alcohol on a cotton round, take your before pictures then apply a generous amount of lidocaine cream to the brow area to start the numbing process. While the lidocaine sets in we will mix the pigment and do a swatch on your skin to get the perfect color match for your brows.

I will then sit you up for the mapping and measuring (this takes the longest time but for very good reason!! I want you to have the best brows that you will be in love with!) This will ultimately help you and I to decide what brow shape is best for your facial symmetry also taking into consideration your bone structure. Remember that brows are sisters not twins (but I will always aim for twins). Now to draw on your mock brows and have you okay every step of the way because I want to make sure my clients are comfortable, happy and in control of the whole process! Once you are satisfied with the mock brows we can begin with the procedure.

I'll have you lie down again and lightly scratch the skin surface of the area we re working on then apply another numbing gel agent to make sure you are comfortable and pain free. (You may feel a little discomfort at first but that will quickly go away... If it's any consolation, i've literally had clients have a little snooze while getting their work done!!) The actual micro-blading/shading doesn't take that long. After the final pass and during the pigment soak we will go over the post-procedure care together. After I wipe off the the excess pigment, I will take some photos of your fresh beautiful brows and you will be free to go with your aftercare kit. No down time is necessary!

We will book your 4-6 week, perfection touchup service since this is included in the cost at your initial appointment and I'm always excited to see the healed results from the first visit.

*On your initial appointment, I am conservative about the size (smaller) and color (lighter) so it is not overwhelming for my clients. Any preference adjustments will be achieved will be achieved during the perfection touch-up appointment!
