What is Saline Tattoo Removal?

Saline tattoo removal is a non-laser method of tattoo removal that uses a saline solution to fade and remove unwanted tattoos. Here at Beauty Marked by Cindy we use a top of the line saline solution called Li-FT. The process involves injecting the saline solution into the skin, which helps to break down the tattoo pigments and stimulate the body's natural healing process (this process is called osmosis) and over time, the tattoo gradually fades and becomes less visible to non existent.

When Can I Get Saline Removal?

You can get Emergency Removal within 48 hours after the PMU treatment if you just had poor permanent makeup done and you were not satisfied with the results. If you wait longer than 48hrs, you will have to wait for 6-8 weeks until the skin has completely healed from the PMU application. Otherwise, the tissue can be damaged and permanent scarring can occur.

How Does Saline Tattoo Removal Work?

Saline removal is basically reverse tattooing. During the saline tattoo removal process, a trained professional will use a tattoo machine or a manual tool to gently tattoo the saline solution into the skin. The saline solution helps to lift the tattoo pigments to the surface, where they can be naturally eliminated. The number of sessions required for complete tattoo removal depends on various factors, such as the size and colour and saturation of the tattoo, as well as the individual's skin type and healing ability.

Unlike the laser, which isn’t suitable for removing reddish and yellow or white pigments Benefits of Saline Tattoo Removal Saline tattoo removal offers several benefits over traditional laser tattoo removal methods. Firstly, it is a safer and less invasive option, as it does not involve the use of lasers or harsh chemicals. Saline removal breaks up the pigment and lifts it up and out of the skin rather than laser where that breaks up pigment and pushes it further into your skin and gets flushed out through your lymphatic system. This makes saline removal suitable for all skin types, including sensitive skin. Additionally, saline tattoo removal is more affordable than laser treatments, making it a more accessible option for those on a budget. Another advantage of saline tattoo removal is that it can be used to lighten or correct tattoos before undergoing a cover-up or rework. By fading the existing tattoo, it provides a clean canvas for the tattoo artist to work on, resulting in a better outcome.

How Many Sessions of Saline Tattoo Removal Do I Need?

Most clients need between 2 and 6 saline tattoo removal sessions (requiring 8 weeks between each session) to completely remove the PMU, but there are cases where as many as 10 sessions are necessary to get rid of all the pigment.
